Questions

How far can I send a message?

Direct: 1-5 miles depending on terrain. Through mesh hops: unlimited — your message bounces through every SCOUT and COMMUNICATOR in the network until it arrives. More devices = better coverage.

How long does the battery last?

1-3 days of active use on the internal 1100mAh LiPo. Recharges via USB-C. Sleep mode extends battery life significantly.

What can I type on the keyboard?

Full QWERTY keyboard. Type text messages up to 228 characters. The 2.8" screen shows message history, channel list, GPS coordinates, and device status.

Is GPS tracking always on?

You control it. GPS can share your position with your mesh network or stay private. Your choice. No data goes to any cloud.

Can it talk to SCOUT devices?

Yes. All OVERKOR devices run the same Meshtastic mesh protocol. SCOUTs relay your messages further. The whole lineup works as one network.

Do I need a license?

No. 915 MHz LoRa operates under FCC Part 15 — no license required.
