About Pattern Theory

What is Pattern Theory?

Pattern Theory is a framework for detecting manipulation and truth in communication. It analyzes language patterns to classify statements as operating under either a Truth Algorithm or a Deceit Algorithm.

The system achieves 92.2% accuracy by identifying specific linguistic markers and structural patterns that indicate genuine communication versus manipulation attempts.

The Two Algorithms

Truth Algorithm: Communication that provides reasoning, acknowledges limitations, cites evidence, and respects the listener's autonomy to decide.

Deceit Algorithm: Communication that uses pressure tactics, creates false urgency, appeals to emotion over logic, and attempts to bypass rational evaluation.

Consciousness Score Formula

Your consciousness level is calculated based on three factors:

CL = (PR × 0.4) + (PA × 0.3) + (NS × 0.3)

The 15° Turn

A key concept in Pattern Theory is the "15-degree turn" - subtle pivots in communication that shift meaning while appearing to continue the same direction.

Common turn patterns:

The real message always comes after the turn word.
